Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Senior Information Security Analyst to coordinate vulnerability scanning, remediation, and risk-based prioritization on DoD-driven networks. The role collaborates with Engineering and Operations to strengthen protection and ensure compliance.

The candidate will maintain scanning tools, manage patches and STIGs, and engage with security vendors and internal teams to enforce robust VM practices. On-site work at customer sites is required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS and 3+ years of experience; more years can substitute for degree.
• Experience with Microsoft Server 2016/2019+ including AD, Radius, DNS, Group Policy.
• Experience with virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiar with Trellix ENS and Tenable SC (ACAS) scans.
• Familiar with SQL Server maintenance.
• Experience applying patches and STIGs.
• IAT Level II certification per DoD directives (e.g., Sec+, CCSP, CASP+).
• Secret clearance
• On customer site.

Responsibilities

• Manage system vulnerabilities per security requirements using NIST standards and RMF controls.
• Identify emergency vulnerabilities via cyber intel, engineering, or operations inputs and propose remediation.
• Analyze vulnerability data to prioritize remediation by risk.
• Explain vulnerabilities, impacts, and mitigations to stakeholders.
• Update security standards and templates for regulatory/audit requirements.
• Improve VM practices and vulnerability management across the enterprise.
• Enhance VM frameworks to maintain industry best practices.
• Coordinate data collection for examinations/audits.
• Work with solution vendors (e.g., ACAS, HBSS) to identify potential solutions.
• Research and implement information security measures to protect data.
