Job summary

Synergy ECP is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer to join our team in Columbia, MD. The role focuses on protecting information assets for DoD IC programs and maintaining compliance with RMF and DoD C&A processes.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in a related field and 12+ years of experience, with DoD 8570 IAM Level II or IAT Level III certification. A fully cleared status with MPO client polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security, or related discipline.
• 12+ years of related experience; or 7+ years as ISSO with DoD programs.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level II or IAT Level III (CASP/CISSP).

Responsibilities

• Supports information assurance program for the program, organization, system, or enclave.
• Proposes, coordinates, implements, and enforces information systems security policies and standards.
• Maintains operational security posture for information systems and programs.
• Assists with management of security aspects and day-to-day operations.
• Evaluates security solutions to meet security requirements for processing classified information.
• Performs vulnerability/risk assessments to support certification and accreditation.
• Provides configuration management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Manages changes to system and assesses security impact.
• Prepares documentation including SSPs, Risk Assessments, C&A packages, and SRTMs.
• Assists with certification and RMF-related activities.
