Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Service Technician to maintain and repair industrial refrigeration systems at customer sites.

You will lead safety-focused service activities and work with multidisciplinary teams to diagnose issues and implement solutions. The role requires more than 5 years of relevant experience, EPA/RETA certifications, and the ability to work long shifts including physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have HVAC knowledge and related trade experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical control systems in refrigeration equipment.
• Strong emphasis on safety leadership and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with troubleshooting ammonia/ Freon refrigeration systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain industrial ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems (100 HP–5,000 HP).
• Perform routine and emergency service, diagnostics, and inspections on screws and reciprocating compressors.
• Troubleshoot and repair control systems, alarms and electrical systems.
• Ensure safety standards and PPE/respirator use per policy.
• Coordinate repairs with Service Managers and customers to minimize downtime.
• Mentor apprentices to develop skills and maintain service quality.
