Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Service Technician to maintain, repair, and support industrial ammonia and refrigerant systems at customer sites. You will lead safety initiatives and ensure high service standards.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, EPA universal certification, and the ability to work long shifts, climb, and lift up to 75 lb; training and career advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC tech school preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• EPA Universal certification or ability to obtain.
• RETA 1&2 certification preferred.
• Safety-sensitive role with pre-employment drug testing.
• Physically able to perform demanding tasks (ladders, respirator, long shifts).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert repair and maintenance for industrial ammonia and Freon systems from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Perform routine and emergency service, diagnostics, and inspections on compressors.
• Troubleshoot and repair control systems, alarms, and electrical systems.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies, including PPE and respirators.
• Communicate with Service Managers and customers to coordinate repairs and maintenance.
• Mentor and support apprentice technicians in developing skills and maintaining service quality.
