Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. seeks a talented Project Manager to lead large refrigeration projects from inception through commissioning, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate with owners, contractors, and internal teams to meet customer specifications. The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, procurement, contract oversight, and the ability to manage multiple projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• BSME or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5–7 years in large-scale industrial refrigeration or related projects (HVAC, heavy industrial construction).
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians and subcontractors.
• Strong negotiation to ensure cost-effective procurement and resolve issues within budgets.
• Ability to make independent decisions within budget with guidance for exceptional issues.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills; capable of multi-project prioritization.
• Strong verbal and written communication to manage client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale refrigeration construction projects from award to commissioning and punch list.
• Serve as primary client contact with owners and general contractors.
• Review and manage contracts to ensure scope and terms compliance.
• Collaborate with diverse trades to maintain quality, budget and timelines.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules aligned with contractor timelines.
• Oversee staffing and procurement to ensure on-time delivery.
• Build relationships with vendors for cost-effective procurement.
• Manage project scope and change orders; maintain customer satisfaction.
• Support engineering during design to align with milestones.
• Coordinate with purchasing to monitor deliveries and schedules.
• Identify risks and ensure compliance with ammonia/CO2 regulations.
