Job summary

Abbott is seeking an Operational Technology Engineer to support and maintain manufacturing data systems at the Columbus Plant. You will manage OT hardware and software, ensuring IT system and cybersecurity requirements are met while maintaining maximum system uptime.

You will collaborate with IT and division teams to deploy OT data systems on capital projects and ensure regulatory compliance, with on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years of IT, engineering, and/or operational experience.
• 5+ years in a related field and/or industry.
• Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work fully onsite in Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain manufacturing operation data systems and servers for Columbus Plant OT systems (OSISoft PI, Ignition, ZPI data servers, DeltaV, iFix, FactoryTalk AssetCentre).
• Coordinate with IT support to maintain secured OT infrastructure and participate in cybersecurity initiatives (disaster recovery, asset security, patching, malware prevention).
• Provide Manufacturing HMI architecture support.
• Work with Division teams to deploy OT data systems in cross‑functional capital projects.
• Coordinate with quality and process authority organizations to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain solutions for Critical Process Parameters Monitoring and Process Data Reporting.
• Identify customer needs and propose solutions; collaborate with outside vendors when needed.
• Provide on-call support for plant OT systems.
