Job summary

Idaho Forest Group is seeking a Training Specialist to develop, deliver, and manage technical training for maintenance personnel at our mills. You will ensure teams have the skills to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain sawmill equipment, with a hands-on instructional approach.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance, a Journeyman Millwright certification or equivalent background, and strong knowledge of OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman Millwright Certification or maintenance background.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of safety principles and OSHA requirements.
• Available to train on all shifts including weekends.
• Valid Driver’s License for business travel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement training for all maintenance personnel.
• Develop and implement a division approved Maintenance Training Program.
• Train personnel on maintenance evaluation and root-cause analysis.
• Assist in maintenance evaluations at facilities as requested.
• Support OSHA requirements within the Training Program.
• Collaborate on safety training updates with the Safety Specialist.
• Maintain and administer the training management platform with current content, records, and reports.
• Schedule and maintain vendor-provided training programs for timely delivery and compliance.
• Support school and shop training programs as a subject-matter resource.
• Other duties as needed.
