The position requires deep electrical, mechanical, and control-system knowledge, with 10+ years in the field or 12 years of experience, and willingness to travel locally, nationally, and internationally.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree with a technical focus and 10+ years in the industry, or 12 years of related experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems; ability to analyze problems and perform repairs.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
• Extensive travel required (Local, National, International).
• Desirable: experience in condition-based maintenance, precision alignments, and maintenance of process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance; observes devices in operation to locate root causes; dismantles devices to access defective parts; repairs or replaces parts; tests circuits and mechanics.
• Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repairs; evaluates alternatives to improve cost/reliability.
• Independently performs maintenance per industry standards; documents work in service reports and management systems.
• Trains and mentors lower-level technicians and project teams; conducts on-the-job training and self-study for career development.
• Troubleshoots and analyzes complex control systems to resolve software/hardware/configuration issues.
