Job summary

ATS, founded in 1985, is a maintenance specialist with a footprint in the United States, Mexico and the United Kingdom. This role supports mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance in factory settings, focusing on electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree with technical focus or 3–5 years of related experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
• Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate
• May be required to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance on devices and systems.
• Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary.
• Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards.
• Set up and operate machining operations (lathe, drill press, grinder) and perform welding.
• Follow 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Drive and participate in CI activities to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Update CMMS history.
• Troubleshoot control systems to resolve software/hardware issues.
• Use predictive maintenance data to monitor equipment performance.
• Mentor lower level technicians and support small teams.
• Complete on-the-job and technical self-study for career development.
• Follow safety policies and identify unsafe conditions.
