Job summary

Haydon is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on manufacturing equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support changeovers across presses, mills, and related machinery.

You will communicate with supervision, provide updates on machine conditions, and maintain records while ensuring safety and 5S in a fast-paced production environment within Texas.

Qualifications

• 6+ years repairing/maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with presses and mills.
• Welding repairs and adjustments experience preferred.
• Strong reading/writing and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on production equipment.
• Communicate daily with supervisor and maintenance leadership.
• Provide updates on machine conditions and maintenance progress.
• Inspect motors, gearboxes, presses, welders, and forming equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and schedule improvements.
• Support changeovers for welders, mills, and secondary punch machines.
• Replace worn parts and fluids; test and adjust components.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report spares needs.
• Follow SOPs, keep 5S in the work area, and ensure safety.
• Operate material handling equipment including propane forklifts.
