Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to support preventive and predictive maintenance on material handling systems. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC/controls issues, interpret schematics and manuals, and use EAM software for data entry and retrieval.

Candidates should have four years in industrial maintenance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a relevant certification or associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years experience in Industrial Maintenance with proficiency in mechanical power transmission, electrical and working knowledge of PLC/Controls and welding/fabrication skills.
• Ability to interpret electrical or mechanical schematics, manufacturer’s manuals and engineering specifications to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair system faults and failures or determine escalation.
• Ability to utilize the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software to enter and retrieve prescribed data.
• Must follow procedures, work orders and safety requirements.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including varying shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, manuals and specifications to diagnose faults and determine escalation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and PLC/controls failures.
• Enter and retrieve data in EAM software.
• Collaborate with higher level Technicians on complex issues and assist on projects.
• Develop scopes of work and small local project plans as needed.
