Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to support FedEx industrial maintenance of material handling systems. You will perform preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical power transmission, electrical and PLC/controls, and repair system faults.

You may read schematics, develop scopes of work for small projects, and work flexible schedules as needed. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, relevant certificates or an associate degree

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certificates in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics, electrical or mechanical trade or related area.
• Associate degree in related area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling systems.
• Interpret electrical or mechanical schematics, manuals and engineering specs to diagnose faults and determine escalation.
• Utilize Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software to enter and retrieve prescribed data.
• Read and troubleshoot PLC/controls as part of complex systems; may burn EEPROMs.
• May develop scopes of work and project plans for small local projects.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Certificates in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics, electrical or mechanical trade or related area

Associate degree in a related area preferred
