Job summary

ATS is seeking a maintenance technician to perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance in a factory setting. You will inspect devices, identify root causes, disassemble and repair components, and test performance while maintaining safety standards.

Expect to work with machining tools and welding as needed, source parts, and update CMMS history. Travel may be required; strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School/GED plus technical associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of related general industry experience, or 5 years in general industry.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems; able to analyze problems and perform repairs.
• Able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance.
• Identify and source parts, supplies and repair items as needed.
• Set up and operate machining operations (lathe, drill press, grinder); welding as required.
• Follow 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Drive CI activities and cost savings.
• Update CMMS records and review history.
• Troubleshoot control systems and analyze software/hardware issues.
• Mentor lower level technicians and support small teams.
• Complete on-the-job and technical self-study programs.
• Follow safety policies and identify unsafe conditions.
