Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to join our Louisville, KY office. You will perform IH and environmental consulting services, conduct exposure assessments, and support compliance initiatives for a diverse client portfolio.

The role requires collaboration with senior staff, management of moderate-sized projects, and mentorship of junior team members. Travel to client sites is anticipated as needed, with a focus on delivering high-quality regulatory-compliant work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, EHS, or related field.
• 5+ years of post-education experience in IH assessments in consulting, manufacturing, or related settings.
• Experience conducting occupational exposure monitoring and IH investigations.
• Experience supporting environmental compliance programs, audits, or permitting activities.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA/Kentucky regs and related health and environmental compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with IH instrumentation and sampling methodologies.
• Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform IH assessments for health hazards at client facilities (chemicals, particulates, noise, mold, asbestos, IAQ, ventilation).
• Conduct IH exposure assessments including surveys, sampling, and monitoring.
• Support environmental compliance and due diligence projects (EHS programs, hazardous materials management).
• Assist with environmental permitting, audits, and site assessments.
• Analyze data to identify risks and recommend corrective actions to improve health and safety.
• Prepare concise technical reports with findings and regulatory interpretations.
