Job summary

Actalent, based in Raleigh, NC, seeks a Sr. Hardware Engineer to design PCB assemblies for harsh environments in industrial Ethernet switches. You will verify hardware, support products through lifecycle, and collaborate with manufacturing to optimize processes.

The role requires 6+ years in analog/digital design, expertise in low-voltage power, EMC, embedded CPU/SoC, and high-speed networking. On-site, full-time position with a strong product roadmap and career growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
6+ years of analog and digital design experience.
Extensive experience with low voltage DC power design up to 138V.
Proficiency in schematic entry and EMC compliance design.
Experience in embedded CPU, microprocessor, and SoC design.
Strong experience in networking design, including 1Gb/10Gb Ethernet and flash memory.

Responsibilities

Design and develop printed circuit board assemblies for industrial Ethernet switches.
Conduct hardware verification and testing for new products.
Provide lifecycle support, addressing field issues and ensuring product quality.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes.
Analyze product requirements to align design projects with commercial goals.
