Zusammenfassung

Actalent in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to design high-reliability, microprocessor-driven digital and mixed-signal PCBs for defense and ruggedized environments. You will own the hardware lifecycle from concept through testing and delivery.

You will collaborate with hardware, embedded software, and systems engineers, using Cadence/Altium/KiCad tools, and you may need a U.S. security clearance. This onsite contract-to-hire role offers competitive compensation.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant hardware design experience in high-reliability environments.
• Proven experience with digital board design for microcontroller/microprocessor-driven systems.
• Hands-on PCB layout, schematic capture, and board-level design with industry CAD tools.
• Background in high-reliability design for defense, aerospace, automotive, or medical devices.
• Experience with mixed-signal design (analog + digital).
• Embedded systems development experience is a plus.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

Aufgaben

• Design high-reliability digital and mixed-signal PCBs for defense and ruggedized applications.
• Own the full hardware lifecycle from requirements to final delivery.
• Implement mixed-signal designs with analog/digital components, microprocessors, microcontrollers, and FPGAs.
• Create and maintain schematics and PCB layouts ensuring manufacturability and reliability.
• Develop hardware for defense, aerospace, aviation, automotive, or medical devices.
• Participate in hardware development reviews and support system-level integration and testing.
• Support environmental testing and troubleshooting; coordinate with software/firmware teams.
