Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced electro/mechanical technician to maintain and repair HVAC and other environmental control systems across our facilities. You will troubleshoot electro/mechanical equipment, PLCs, and support critical infrastructure for safe spaceflight operations.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, PLC proficiency (Siemens/Allen-Bradley), and an emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork. On-site property supports 2M sq ft buildings and 500 acres of utilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electro/mechanical technician in industrial/commercial and/or lab/R&D environments.
• Experience with PLC systems (Siemens & Allen Bradley).
• Aerial lift certified.
• Associates Degree or Trade School preferred.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiar with electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Demonstrate ability in installation, repair and maintenance of industrial motorized systems.
• Self-directed with planning and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; professional demeanor and customer focus.
• Team player with ability to earn trust and promote inclusion.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. (citizenship/residency requirements).

Responsibilities

• Repair and troubleshoot electro/mechanical systems on industrial cranes, doors, and compressed air systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs.
• Work at heights.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical equipment and systems on a periodic basis.
• Respond to trouble calls for systems.
• Monitor and escort sub-contractors to perform work.
