Blue Origin, LLC is seeking a Senior Facilities HVAC Technician to join our Kent, WA team responsible for maintaining HVAC systems, cryogenic gas distribution, and facility equipment across our manufacturing environments. You will plan preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and act as SME to drive continuous improvement of mechanical and cryogenic systems in a safety‑driven culture.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant practical experience in industrial/commercial HVAC maintenance or facilities.
• Specialty Electrician HVAC/R license WA 06A or 06B.
• EPA 608 Universal certification.
• Experience with commercial/industrial HVAC systems (chillers, boilers, AHUs, cooling towers, refrigeration).
• Strong subcontractor and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA 10/30 industrial safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
• U.S. citizen/national or eligible to work in the U.S.; background basic requirements.
• CGA bulk gas system safety training or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
• Operate and monitor nitrogen (GN2/LN2) bulk storage systems and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on cryogenic storage, piping, and safety systems.
• Monitor inventory and ensure uninterrupted supply to manufacturing and test operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs for installations and repairs.
• Source and manage project materials and spare parts inventories.
• Ensure OSHA/LOTO/cryogenic safety compliance across work.
• Support CMMS (Maximo) work orders, documentation, and PM scheduling.
• Act as general contractor on facilities projects, including bids and scheduling.
