Job summary

Shimizu North America is seeking a Senior Estimator with 10+ years of industrial construction experience for a site-based project in Lordstown, OH. The role offers potential transition to a home-office position in Atlanta, GA, focusing on negotiated industrial projects with cross-disciplinary coordination.

You will lead cost estimation from initial concepts to bid-ready packages, coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors, and leverage CSI master formats and estimation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or another technical field.
• Minimum 10 years of industrial construction or manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in an estimation role.
• Proven track record of design bid, Design/Bid/build estimating success.
• Strong knowledge of construction paving, underground, concrete and grading practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the project from the first estimate through subcontracts.
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers for bids or budgets.
• Use estimating systems to prepare accurate budgets or bids.
• Perform conceptual estimates based on limited drawings and specs.
• Communicate project cost clearly and assemble a complete estimate package.
