Job summary

Shimizu North America is seeking a Civil, Structural, and Architectural Estimator in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on negotiated industrial projects, coordinating with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors to develop accurate estimates throughout the design and bid phases.

The successful candidate will have 3–10 years of industrial construction estimating, strong knowledge of CSI master formats, and expertise in reading drawings, preparing detailed budgets, and driving cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or another technical field.
• 3–10 years of industrial construction or manufacturing estimating experience.
• Experience with design bid/build estimating and bid processes.
• Strong knowledge of paving, underground, concrete and grading practices.
• Proficient reading and interpretation of drawings and specifications.
• Ability to assemble a complete presentation-ready estimate package.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the project from the first estimate through subcontracts.
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to inform bids or budgets.
• Use estimating systems to produce budgets and bids.
• Perform conceptual estimates from limited drawings and specs.
• Develop innovative cost-saving solutions during projects.
