Job summary

McGough in Minnesota is seeking an Industrial EPC Project Manager to lead large, multi-discipline projects from design through turnover, coordinating engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.

This role stresses safety, schedule and cost control, with a focus on building strong relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors and suppliers, plus travel to out-of-town sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years EPC or Industrial PM experience.
• Proven ability to manage multi-discipline engineering deliverables.
• Experience leading projects in a self-perform and unionized labor environment.
• Strong understanding of EPC contracting models, including lump sum and cost-plus.
• Ability to assess and mitigate technical, commercial, and schedule risks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in P6, Bluebeam, Acrobat, Excel, and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide total project ownership across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
• Drive alignment of project goals with client expectations to ensure safe, compliant facilities.
• Develop and maintain EPC execution plan, risk register, and delivery strategy.
• Champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all phases.
• Lead engineering deliverables and coordination between disciplines and vendors.
• Oversee procurement planning, bid packages, and subcontractor scopes.
• Coordinate design to field handoff and constructability planning.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and change controls; present status reports.
• Build client and partner relationships; mentor junior staff.
• Oversee turnover, commissioning, and as-built documentation.
