Job summary

McGough is seeking an Electrical Project Manager, Industrial, in Minnesota to lead planning, coordination, and execution of electrical aspects on a large industrial project from preconstruction through closeout.

You will oversee schedules, procurement, safety, and quality, coordinating with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews to drive alignment and on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Deep knowledge of industrial power distribution, grounding, switchgear, lighting, controls, instrumentation, and automation.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical project management in industrial construction.
• 5+ years of related experience including self-perform capabilities.
• Strong partnerships with owners, designers, and subcontractors.
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Lead project preconstruction efforts including estimating support, design reviews, value engineering, and electrical system planning.
• Develop detailed project schedules and phasing plans aligned with overall construction milestones.
• Define scopes of work and manage electrical subcontractors and vendors.
• Provide daily oversight and coordination of all electrical installation activities on-site.
• Collaborate with field supervisors, foremen, and safety managers to ensure work is installed per plans and code.
• Manage project budgets and cost forecasting for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Oversee procurement and timely delivery of long-lead items and equipment.
• Maintain client communications with progress reports and status updates.
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC and local codes.
• Mentor and coach junior team members and assist in risk management processes.
• Foster relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors and suppliers.
