Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is hiring a Staff Industrial Engineer to drive future supply chain flows across our warehouse network.

The role requires lean/six sigma mindset, deep process improvement experience, and the ability to train and guide teams while spending time on the floor learning processes. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, develop new programs, and ensure standards for safety and quality while partnering with operations to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Industrial Engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
• Experienced in project management.
• Basic 2D/3D CAD software skills.
• Up to 30% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce quality control to reduce waste.
• Improve efficiency of fulfillment and transportation processes.
• Investigate, evaluate, develop project estimates and financial proposals.
• Facilitate corrective and preventative action teams from complaints and CI initiatives.
• Provide floor-level technical support and participate in process improvement teams.
• Develop CAD drawings and process flow charts; cost saving analysis.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on new processes and equipment planning.
• Define and document SOPs for new and modified processes.
• Identify and remove barriers to project goals.
• Manage data collection and project tracking.
