Job summary

ShipBob is hiring a Staff Industrial Engineer – Supply Chain Operations to drive future flow design across warehouses. You’ll work with autonomy to identify process improvements, lead CI initiatives, and train teams to eliminate waste in our warehouse network.

Strong lean/six sigma experience and CAD know-how will accelerate impact. The role reports to the IE, Supply Chain Operations, and requires up to 30% travel to multiple sites while operating in a hybrid model with two onsite days per week

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Data Science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Industrial Engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes and standards.
• Experience in project management.
• Basic 2D/3D CAD software skills.

Responsibilities

• Enforce quality control to reduce waste.
• Improve efficiency of fulfillment and transportation processes.
• Develop estimates, proposals, and manage various operational projects.
• Lead corrective and preventive action teams from customer complaints and CI initiatives.
• Provide floor-level technical support and guide process improvement teams.
• Develop CAD drawings and cost-saving analyses.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for new processes and equipment planning.
• Define and document Standard Operating Procedures for new/modified processes.
• Identify and remove barriers to achieve project goals.
• Manage data collection and analysis for project tracking.
