Job summary

ShipBob is seeking a Staff Industrial Engineer – Supply Chain Operations to advance process improvements across our warehouse network. The role operates with autonomy and focuses on lean/six sigma and continuous improvement to eliminate waste and optimize fulfillment and transportation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional industrial engineering experience.
• Lean/Six Sigma expertise and continuous improvement mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Enforce quality control to reduce waste.
• Improve the efficiency of fulfillment and transportation processes.
• Investigate, evaluate, develop project estimates, financial proposals, and manage a variety of operational projects.
• Facilitate and manage corrective and preventive action teams resulting from customer complaints, internal quality problems, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support to operations by spending time on the floor learning processes, troubleshooting, and guiding and/or participating on multiple process improvement teams.
• Develop CAD drawings, process flow charts, cost saving analysis.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams on new processes and equipment planning.
• Define and document Standard Operating Procedures for new and modified processes.
• Identify and work to remove barriers that slow or prevent successful attainment of process improvement project goals.
• Manage process data collection and analysis as part of project tracking and completion.
• Follow Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management best practices and procedures.
• Comply to all food safety and compliance policies and regulations.
