Job summary

Amazon seeks a Senior Industrial Engineer to own end-to-end layout management for manufacturing operations. You will design, optimize, and scale facilities, integrating production systems, material flow, and site infrastructure to deliver efficient layouts.

In this role, you will use data-driven analysis to guide decisions, partner with cross-functional teams, and drive scalable standards across the campus. You will engage from shop floor to senior leadership to support large-scale growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field
• 7+ years of experience in site/factory layout planning, industrial engineering, or manufacturing systems.
• Experience in large-scale manufacturing environments (e.g., automotive, battery, energy, or heavy industry).
• Strong understanding of site planning, material flow, and facility design principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead factory layout design across manufacturing lines, warehouse/storage areas, material flow, people flow, and ancillary spaces.
• Develop long-term site master plans to support capacity expansion and future scalability.
• Define and implement layout governance and standards, including change management and visual factory standards.
• Create and maintain block layouts and detailed 2D/3D layouts aligned with POR and business requirements.
• Design and optimize end-to-end material flow, including inbound, internal logistics, and outbound finished-goods flow.
• Own overall site layout, including building placement, external logistics flow, utilities, and infrastructure planning.
• Optimize dock utilization, yard flow, and transportation interfaces to improve site-level logistics efficiency.
