Job summary

Jobtailor in Wisconsin seeks a Logistics Engineer to design and improve contract logistics processes, lead performance improvements, and support new business implementations.

You will work with cross-functional teams on facility layouts, equipment decisions, and vendor management, while tracking financial and engineering metrics to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3-4 years in a supply chain environment.
• Leadership experience directing Logistics Engineers in 3PL/supply chain.
• Advanced knowledge of statistics.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Access and Power BI.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Lean and Six Sigma knowledge.
• Experience with storage methodologies and material handling equipment.

• Providing engineering support for new and/or expanding business implementations.
• Supporting multifaceted operations and understanding client needs.

• Maintaining financial and engineering metrics to meet/exceed performance goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a supply chain (warehouse/4walls) environment.
• Prior leadership positions directing Logistics Engineers in 3PL/supply chain environment.
• Advanced knowledge of statistics.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications with advanced knowledge of Excel, Access and Power BI.
• Insight into a Warehouse Management Systems allowing for understanding of system capabilities.
• AutoCAD.
• Lean methodologies.
• Six Sigma tools.
• Knowledge of various storage methodologies as well as material handling equipment.
