Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Industrial Engineer to design and implement contract logistics processes within a dynamic warehouse environment. You will drive continuous improvement, support new business implementations, and optimize facility layouts with the latest equipment selections.

The role requires leadership experience, strong statistical skills, and proficiency in Excel, Access, and Power BI to meet performance targets. You will mentor interns and coordinate with multiple vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–4 years’ experience in a supply chain environment.
• Experience leading Logistics Engineers in 3PL/supply chain.
• Proficient in statistics and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and implementing common contract logistics processes and driving continuous performance improvement.
• Provide engineering support for new and/or expanding business implementations.
• Support multifaceted operations and have a detailed understanding of client needs.
• Contribute to the overall facility layout and design as well as determine appropriate equipment to support the concept of operational use.
• Lead & manage any necessary vendors, as they execute the physical implementation of the solution.
• Maintain financial and engineering metrics that will meet or exceed performance goals.
• Provide guidance and training to interns/Co-ops.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a supply chain (warehouse/4walls) environment.
• Prior leadership positions directing Logistics Engineers in 3PL/supply chain environment.
• Advanced knowledge of statistics.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications with advanced knowledge of Excel, Access and Power BI.
• Insight into a Warehouse Management Systems allowing for understanding of system capabilities.
• AutoCAD.
• Lean methodologies.
• Six Sigma tools.
• Knowledge of various storage methodologies as well as material handling equipment.
