Job summary

Jobtailor in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Industrial/Operations Engineer to design and optimize end-to-end manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and scalability.

You will lead a team on time studies, line balancing, capacity modeling, and continuous improvement, applying Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints to eliminate waste and drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of Industrial or Operations Engineering experience.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

Design and optimize end-to-end manufacturing and operational processes for efficiency, quality, and scalability.
Lead a team focusing on advanced time studies, line balancing, capacity modeling, and throughput optimization initiatives.
Develop standard work, labor models, and ergonomic solutions for complex manufacturing environments.
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints to identify and eliminate waste across operations.
Build and maintain advanced simulation, flow, and capacity models to support data-driven decisions.
Create cost models, make‑vs‑buy analyses, and ROI justifications for capital and process investments.
Influence product design through DFMA, tolerance analysis, error‑proofing, and assembly feasibility studies.
Lead NPI industrialization efforts, including production layouts, material flow, and ramp‑up strategies.
Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen events, KPI development, and cross‑functional leadership.
