Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Electrician IV to join our operations & maintenance team in New Mexico. The contract role begins with three months and may extend based on performance and business needs.

The position focuses on electrical and controls support for HVAC, CNC production equipment, conveyors, motors, and related systems. The ideal candidate will program ladder logic/PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, and others), work with VFDs and PLCs up to 480V, and mentor junior

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial environment or equivalent.
• Ability to work in aerial lifts or scissor lifts up to 30 feet.
• Experience with medium voltage and electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E, OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and control circuits from 24V to 480V AC.
• Program ladder logic/PLC systems and adjust HMI as required.
• Calibrate instrumentation and controls for optimum performance.
• Procure parts from OEMs or vendors and document cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and safety regulations; use CMMS for maintenance activities.
• Mentor and train less skilled technicians; respond to work orders and communicate with customers.
