Job summary

Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead capital engineering projects across multiple manufacturing facilities. You will oversee feasibility studies through startup, ensuring budgets, schedules, and safety meet program goals.

You will design 480V power distribution, manage MCCs and VFDs, and direct engineering firms to deliver drawings, schedules, and layouts while ensuring NFPA codes and industry standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience designing 480V power distribution from transformer through motor connections.
• Experience with MCCs: disconnects, motor starters, VFDs, control components, Ethernet communications architecture.
• Experience managing the electrical design and installation of large industrial capital projects, ideally exceeding $4 million in value.
• Able to develop motor lists, PDC designs, feeders, MCC configurations and bucket arrangements, VFD sizing, and equipment layouts.
• Experience directing engineering firms, designers, and consultants in creating electrical drawings, cable schedules, conduit schedules, and equipment room layouts.
• Ability to establish electrical design standards, architecture, and best practices; perform arc flash and electrical coordination studies.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from concept through completion across multiple facilities.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
• Lead safe and successful delivery of capital projects in manufacturing environments.
• Provide technical oversight for all project phases.
• Coordinate and direct project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Establish productive working relationships across diverse teams and organizations.
• Monitor performance and implement corrective actions for successful outcomes.
• Travel to manufacturing sites as required to support execution and commissioning.
