• Bachelor's Degree in a Technical/Engineering field; BSEE preferred.
• Project management experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products and familiarity with AutoCAD.
• Background with NEC NFPA 70 and 70E and National Electrical Safety Code.
• Experience with high/low voltage power distribution, MCCs, and general distribution.
• Experience with VFDs, motors, and cabling sizing.
• Experience with ABB coordinated drives line-ups and Siemens MV drives is a plus.
• Industrial/plant experience including paper or continuous processes a plus.
• Familiarity with DCS and PLC controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment/project scope documents for proposals, installations, startups, and validations.
• Ensure power and control engineering detail design aligns with project needs, facilitate equipment purchasing, review electrical/control designs, participate in energy-efficient design, and maintain project schedules.
• Lead and participate in commissioning activities to ensure successful start-up and provide ongoing support to maintain optimal performance post-launch.
• Mentor and influence representatives from engineering, maintenance, and operations across multiple site locations.
• Identify machine, material, and process improvements and implement solutions.

The role involves equipment design, installation, commissioning, start-up, and ongoing operational support to ensure reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment/project scope documents for proposals, installations, startups, and validations.


• Ensure power and control engineering detail design aligns with project needs, facilitate equipment purchasing, review electrical/control designs, participate in energy-efficient design, and maintain project schedules.


• Lead and participate in commissioning activities to ensure successful start-up and provide ongoing support to maintain optimal performance post-launch.


• Mentor and influence representatives from various functional groups including engineering, maintenance, and operations across multiple site locations.


• Identify machine, material, and process improvements and implement solutions.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.

• Previous project management experience strongly preferred.
