Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Track and manage inquiries from developers and architects.
• Coordinate project kickoff meetings with developers, builders, etc.
• Coordinate feeder interconnections and vault design processes.
• Track customer coordination for temporary power, demolition needs and contractors.
• Manage permits, traffic control, street occupancy, and easements.
• Oversee material orders, lead times and distribution processes.
• Provide construction field support and coordination.
• Collaborate with SaGIE on NVM and other design reviews.

Job description

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Construction Engineering Project Manager for our client partner. This role will coordinate efforts, define critical paths, track progress and spend to budget, coordinate cross‑departmental efforts, etc. Projects will mainly be electric distribution engineering projects to install new assets or upgrade existing infrastructure for customers. Looking for someone with solid experience in project management overlayed with construction management experience. In order of importance: Project Management, Construction Project Management, Utility Project experience (gas or electric) is preferred. PM to manage electric utility distribution projects to build and upgrade infrastructure. Can include multi‑faceted, smaller projects at one location, like solar, electric service upgrades. All work is local to Dane County. Must be comfortable performing field oversight work. Senior candidates preferred but will consider mid‑level with 5+ years of relevant experience. Hybrid work schedule available.

• Tracking and managing inquiries from developers and architects

• Coordinate windows for equipment - ground rods, duct sleeves, pulling irons, sump pits, post‑tensioned roof vault bolt patterns
• Installation of associated Manholes and Duct Packages
• Construction field support
• Cable and Transformer installation
• Unknown underground conflict review
