Job summary

Actalent in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Superintendent to oversee all field operations on commercial and industrial construction projects. You will schedule, coordinate, inspect, and direct subcontractors to ensure projects finish safely, on time, and within budget.

The role partners with Project Managers during preconstruction, startup, and closeout, requiring leadership, site logistics planning, and the ability to manage multiple teams. Travel to regional markets may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field construction activities and subcontractor coordination.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules.
• Conduct project startup, planning, logistics, and sequencing activities.
• Manage quality control and ensure work complies with contract documents.
• Participate in subcontractor buyout and scope review meetings.
• Facilitate weekly subcontractor meetings and progress updates.
• Coordinate material deliveries and procurement tracking.
• Maintain as-built drawings and project documentation.
• Work closely with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Manage project safety programs and subcontractor compliance.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field personnel.
• Lead project closeout activities and transition projects to clients.
