Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is seeking a Construction Project Manager in the US to lead industrial construction projects across food, beverage, life sciences, and consumer packaging sectors. You’ll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets, schedules, and safety, and drive project success from planning through close-out.

Qualifications

• Over 12 years in construction roles including project engineer and construction project manager.
• Eight years as a construction project manager focusing on industrial structures.
• Preferred experience with an Architecture & Engineering (A&E) design-build firm.
• Preferred background in food, beverage, consumer products, and life sciences manufacturing.
• Proficiency with common construction software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute multiple complex industrial construction projects for Food, Beverage, CPG, and Life Science clients.
• Coordinate with Regional Safety Managers, Directors, Site Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Vendors to maintain schedule and budget.
• Perform risk management, prepare monthly project control reports, and develop estimates from design packages.
• Manage project execution from inception to close-out including planning, scheduling, budgets, and resource coordination.
• Coordinate contractor bidding, bid packages, job walks, bid evaluation, and mobilization activities.
• Review subcontractor contracts and proposals for schedule and scope conformance.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, standards, and safety requirements.
• Lead on-site meetings, oversee safety, quality, and timely/cost-effective execution.
• Strengthen client and team relationships and manage sector-specific projects in collaboration with design teams.
