Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Construction Manager for the Worldwide Grocery Real Estate & Store Development (WWGRD) team.

You will lead execution of industrial facilities, including distribution centers, production facilities and new retail concepts, collaborating across functions to deliver on time and to quality. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in project management and real estate/architecture experience, a bachelor's degree, and a proven ability to work independently in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management, real estate development, or architecture/design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Organize and monitor concurrent projects with high quality, service and on-time delivery.
• Identify risks early and mitigate project impact.
• Influence and communicate with internal and external partners; negotiate tradeoffs.
• Contribute to design development to ensure constructability and cost targets.
• Clarify scope and coordinate field activities to speed time to market and control costs.
• Manage contractor accountability, cost performance and schedules, including permits and equipment lead times.
• Travel to job sites up to 50% depending on project load.
