Job summary

Tetra Tech Digital Systems in Texas is seeking an experienced Automation & I&E engineer to support field projects, perform routine maintenance, and participate in commissioning of new facilities. You will develop control strategies, configure PLCs, work with Operations, Engineering and IT teams, and ensure MOC compliance while maintaining safety and quality.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5–10 years in automation and I&E; strong PLC and instrumentation skills, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of automation and I&E experience.
• Detail-oriented, results-driven with ability to organize and prioritize workloads.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine field maintenance and commissioning/start-up of new facilities.
• Respond and provide automation support during outages.
• Install, program, start-up and maintain automation and process control equipment.
• Develop control strategies and contribute to P&IDs and control system specs.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT groups.
• Follow MOC processes for PLC programming updates.
• Adhere to procedures, legislation and industry standards.
• Commit to continuous professional development and safety.
