Job summary

Pieper Automation is seeking a Senior Engineer, Automation Service to design, program, install, and support industrial automation systems. You will work with clients on-site, troubleshoot locally, and deliver tailored solutions while mentoring junior staff.

Travel to various sites is expected in a fast-paced field-service environment. Ideal candidates have hands-on PLC and HMI experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to scope projects and assist with estimates.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with industrial automation systems design, programming, and installation.
Strong ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and interpret schematics.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with clients on-site.

Responsibilities

Design, program, install, and support automated systems across industrial applications.
Program PLCs and HMIs and modify existing codes to meet project requirements.
Provide on-site service calls, diagnose issues, and deliver solutions efficiently.
Support business development by scoping work and assisting with estimates.
Mentor junior engineers and stay current with evolving technologies.
Promote safety and coordinate with field and office teams to minimize hazards.
