Job summary

Stoughton Trailers in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced automation and maintenance professional to manage complex PLC and HMI programs, read electrical schematics, calibrate equipment, and maintain electrical/controls across production lines.

You will troubleshoot, modify controls, and support reliability improvements, coordinating with engineering and maintenance teams to drive OEE, safety, quality, and productivity while following NFPA 70E and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Qualifications

2-year degree in automation, robotics, controls, electrical, or related engineering field.
8+ years of experience in automation, robotics, and controls.
NFPA 70E certification required.
OSHA certification preferred.
Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot PLC/HMI programs.

Responsibilities

Respond to maintenance emergencies and ensure equipment remains operational.
Maintain and modify PLC/HMI programs and primary electrical drawings.
Troubleshoot complex automation systems and calibrate equipment.
Coordinate with production, maintenance, and engineering to improve OEE, safety, quality, and productivity.
Coordinate contractors and ensure work meets safety standards.
Ensure compliance with Lock Out/Tagout and other safety procedures.
