Job summary

The Marvin Group in Inglewood, CA, is seeking a Senior Manager of Indirect Procurement to shape strategy and execution for non-product purchases across facilities, IT, travel, insurance, and professional services. You will lead a small team of buyers, influence senior leadership, and drive value through robust processes and supplier negotiations.

This on-site leadership role requires deep contract knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to solve complex problems with urgency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years experience, including 5 years as a people-manager, or master’s degree with 6+ years and 3 years in people management.
• 2 years of experience in Aerospace, Defense, or another highly regulated industry.
• Strong coaching skills with demonstrated success.
• Excellent cost and price analysis capabilities and ability to spot trends for leadership.
• Proven complex problem-solving in cross-functional teams.
• Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage indirect purchases for MEC using best-in-class practices.
• Lead a small team of indirect buyers and ensure effective workload distribution.
• Identify critical suppliers and establish LTAs where appropriate.
• Develop and implement robust indirect procurement processes and ensure compliance.
• Oversee competitive bidding and negotiation on purchases.
• Collaborate with Facilities, IT, Production, and other departments to ensure value and timely resolution.
• Evaluate and potentially implement contracts management tool, travel, procurement, and cafeteria services.
• Perform other duties assigned by Director or VP of Procurement.
