Job summary

ScottsMiracle-Gro is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to lead global raw material sourcing. You will collaborate with R&D and Marketing to shape multi-year technology strategies and manage supplier selection and development for horticulture products.

Responsibilities include negotiating supply agreements, driving cost savings, and ensuring process compliance across internal and external sites. This role requires travel and a strong track record in procurement leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3–5 years in procurement, supply chain, R&D, regulatory, or agribusiness field.
• International purchasing experience is preferred.
• Strong computer skills including SAP R/3, Google and MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-year global technology strategies for Scotts’ product portfolio.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, cost structures, risks, and partnership potential.
• Develop, negotiate, and execute supply agreements per company policies.
• Create and implement procurement strategies for responsibilities.
• Lead cost savings projects targeting 2–3% annual spend reductions.
• Ensure compliance with related processes and procedures.
• Develop disruption mapping and mitigation strategies.
• Communicate updates to internal and external partners; travel as required.
