Job summary

Barry Callebaut, a global leader in cocoa and chocolate, is seeking a Senior Buyer for its Cocoa operations at the Eddystone site in the United States. You will manage end-to-end sourcing, drive category strategies, and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to align procurement with plant needs.

The role emphasizes supplier management, risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance with purchasing governance while contributing to sustainable, long-term performance.

Qualifications

• Fluent written and spoken English is required.
• Strong experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end sourcing and purchasing activities for site-related CAPEX, MRO, technical services, spare parts, facility-related services, utilities, laboratory consumables/services/equipment, and other indirect operational needs.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for local/site indirect spend categories to ensure best total cost of ownership.
• Lead supplier identification, qualification, and negotiation processes; collaborate with site stakeholders to align procurement with priorities.
