Job summary

The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) in Cambridge is seeking a Senior Inclusion Support to adapt and modify after-school programming for a student requiring substantial support and accommodations.

The role works under the site supervisor with guidance from DHSP Inclusion Initiative, helping create safe, engaging after-school experiences for Cambridge children and youth with diverse needs.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children who have identified needs or disabilities.
  • An associate’s degree or higher in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or a similar field preferred.
  • Experience in educational or community-based settings serving youth.

Responsibilities

  • Support and create relationships with children and adults in the program.
  • Collaborate with staff to maintain an inclusive environment.
  • Communicate regularly with site supervisor, program staff, and the Inclusion Initiative.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians of the child/youth.
  • Develop and implement accommodations with Inclusion Specialists.
  • Support behavioral, social, and emotional needs; implement plans.
  • Assist with physical needs and assistive devices.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Reasonable accommodations will be made for disabilities.
