Job summary

City of Cambridge seeks an Assistant Site Director for Community Schools to plan and manage afterschool and summer camp programs, engage with youth and families, and coach program staff. The role requires strong curriculum design, leadership, and collaboration with school staff and administrators.

You will oversee staff scheduling, training, and data records, while coordinating with the DHSP Lottery Team for enrollment and program evaluations. Evening and weekend duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, youth development, social work, recreation, human services, or related field, or 3+ years youth development/afterschool experience.
• Demonstrated budget management experience.
• Experience with inclusive programming for children with special needs and diverse urban populations.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage afterschool and summer camp programs with school leadership and Youth Center Directors.
• Lead curriculum development and regular staff trainings to improve program quality.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, schedule, and supervise staff; coordinate onboarding with HR.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare fiscal reports, and track budgets and expenditures.
• Coordinate field trips, events, and communications with families and partners.
• Act as site lead in absence of Site Director and support cross-site operations.
