Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Incident Response Senior Manager to lead end-to-end cybersecurity incident response efforts across SOC, forensics, DLP, cloud security, and client teams. You will triage, contain, escalate, and communicate during high-severity incidents, guiding cross-functional responses with confidence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of incident management or cybersecurity operations.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role in incident response.
• Ability to independently lead incident command and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Assume the Incident Commander role, triage severity, assemble teams, and initiate workflows.
• Make autonomous containment, escalation, and communication decisions during high-severity incidents.
• Own end-to-end response activities across SOC, forensics, DLP, cloud security, legal, compliance, and client teams.
• Orchestrate multi-domain security functions to ensure timely response activities.
• Lead all incident communications including war room updates and executive briefings.
