Job summary

Waymo’s Safety team is seeking a senior leader to design and scale incident readiness, crisis exercises, and business continuity programs across automotive and highly regulated environments.

You will drive end-to-end exercise design, develop a long-term roadmap, and coordinate with external public safety partners while guiding an extended workforce to ensure readiness and safety performance. Travel up to 25% may apply.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing, executing, and scaling incident readiness or crisis exercise programs.
• Experience integrating exercise methodologies (HSEEP) into enterprise programs.
• Ability to engage regulators and public safety agencies and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, execution, and evaluation of incident response exercises across the enterprise and with external partners.
• Define long-term readiness roadmap and strategy aligned with safety programs.
• Lead end-to-end design of exercises, evaluating operator proficiency and tool usage.
• Standardize documentation and evaluation frameworks across exercise lifecycles.
• Identify root causes, track corrective actions, and improve safety performance.
• Direct and support an extended workforce of exercise design specialists.
