Job summary

Perceptive Group in Needham, MA seeks a Senior Associate Scientist to support validation and execution of imaging studies using preclinical in vivo oncology models, including PET/SPECT/CT, MRI, and Bioluminescence. The role covers efficacy, biodistribution, PK/Tox analyses and ex vivo tissue assessments.

The candidate will contribute to protocol development, SOPs, and may mentor junior staff while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced preclinical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor+5yrs experience or MS+3yrs in Biology, Animal Science or related field.
• Experience with in vivo imaging and preclinical oncology models.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the management of the Animal Care Facility (ACF).
• Order animals and supplies; sanitize and maintain equipment.
• Follow and write SOPs; participate in protocol reviews.
• Lead in vivo tasks and schedule studies; ensure timelines.
• Assess animal health; communicate with Attending Veterinarian.
• Mentor and train new staff; provide data quality control.
