Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a skilled BDA and DAS Design Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on designing and implementing in-building wireless solutions for public safety and commercial clients, utilizing iBwave Design for LTE/5G, IFC and NFPA compliant systems.

The ideal candidate has Level 3 iBwave certification, 4+ years of DAS design experience, and a strong RF background with DAS components. Occasional travel to client sites is required, with collaboration across project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field OR 4+ years in Cellular and PSS DAS design.
• Level 3 iBwave certification required.
• Proficiency in iBwave Enterprise design software.
• Strong understanding of RF principles and wireless technologies.
• Experience with DAS components and antennas.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Design Off-Air and Active DAS solutions for diverse environments.
• Conduct site surveys and gather system requirements.
• Create design documentation using iBwave Enterprise (building modeling, equipment placement, cable routing).
• Optimize systems in iBwave and resolve performance issues with the team.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and regulations.
• Provide technical support and documentation for projects.
