Job summary

Communication Technology Services (CTS) is seeking an RF Design Engineer to design and validate RF systems for in-building wireless networks across DAS and small cell platforms. You will model, validate, and optimize coverage, capacity, and performance to meet carrier specifications and regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong experience with DAS solutions, carrier standards, and data management across databases, with the ability to support sales engineering and project delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-7 years of RF design experience for in-building wireless systems (DAS/small cell).
• Strong understanding of RF fundamentals: propagation, interference, and performance metrics.
• Experience using RF design tools such as iBwave, Atoll, Planet.
• Experience complying with major wireless carrier standards and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop RF designs for in-building wireless systems including DAS and small cell networks to meet coverage and capacity targets.
• Perform RF modeling, propagation analysis, and performance predictions using industry tools.
• Design antenna layouts, signal distribution, and equipment configurations for multi-carrier deployments.
• Validate designs against KPIs (RSSI/RSRP, SINR, throughput, interference).
• Prepare RF design packages and documentation for carrier submission and internal reviews.
