Job summary

JORI Logistics seeks a Senior U.S. Customs Entry Writer to join our U.S. Customs Brokerage Department. This role requires managing complex import transactions, ensuring compliance, and guiding clients and colleagues through entry and release processes.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with U.S. customs entries across multiple modes and a strong eye for detail, with proven ability to troubleshoot and communicate clearly with CBP and partners.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience preparing and processing U.S. customs entries.
• Strong knowledge of CBP entry and release procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority shipments and maintain compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, transmit, and finalize U.S. customs entries for truck, rail, ocean, and air shipments.
• Review supporting documents to ensure completeness before transmission.
• Identify and resolve compliance concerns prior to filing.
• Monitor entry status through release and payment cycles.
• Escalate significant compliance risks to management.
• Provide knowledgeable service to clients by phone and email.
